In 2004, time travel is as easy as opening the fridge (so impossible for someone). But returning to the past is forbidden, so that people could not enjoy their fifteen minutes of fame and realize their American dream, but because these changes could alter the present and future. Therefore, the U.S. government created the TEC unit to check the time. A Max Walker (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is one of its best agents. And when he learns that a candidate for the next U.S. president Senator Aaron McComb (Ron Silver) raises money to campaign with lots of speculation for decades before they have any value, he decides to act. But the senator is more dangerous than it looks.
